Draft Role Profiles For Service Positions

The following draft role profiles have been suggested for the Edinburgh and Midlothian Intergroup service positions. They have been created at different times by different people,and have been deliberately presented in the varying formats in which they were created with a view to getting feedback on which layout and form of content would best suit the needs of Intergroup.

The profiles were written taking account of the roles as described in the relevant chapters – where applicable – of the Service Handbook, along with input from AI and contributions from Intergroup members and the wider AA community. There is also a a document giving guidance on service role commitments although it’s important to note that these are not fixed requirements but rather suggested expectations based on experience across AA service structures in Great Britain.

  Intergroup is vital to the groups in Edinburgh and Midlothian that it represents, and its sole purpose is to help the groups carry out Tradition 5 which is

  carry the message to the still-suffering alcoholic
